Hey all. Ok, so my latest project I have been working on is a 2010 calendar, and I have finally managed to get everything up together photo-wise and send it off for printing this week, so fingers crossed it turns out as I hope. The calendar is just a small sample of some of my work and every photo I have chosen I feel has a relevance to the month it represents. I shall have some available for sale on the website soon, so keep your eyes peeled!

Hey all! So as I mentioned in my last blog I was going to be off to two local events in Worcestershire, however only made it to one of them due to the lovely english weather! A real shame I miss the Evesham River Festival, but I am quite happy with the photos I managed to take at Fladbury Walkabout 2009 (see Gallery for images). They are also running a photography competition for images from the event with a prize of £15 for each category which was also a nice little incentive, other than wanting to spend the day out with my partner as well! Lovely gardens, some fantastic vintage cars and bikes and a fantastic band going by the name of the New Washboard Syncopaters. A truely great event!

Hey all, its been a little while I know. I just wanted to see what kind of response I got from people about the site and now I have updated it a little with some new photos with my brand new lenses (see 'Equipment' for more info). I have yet to use them at any big events, at the moment its just been garden and house practice! Have put some of the resulting images on the 'Gallery' page so feel free to check them out. Have a few upcoming events I shall be attending (along with my camera), they are Fladbury WalkAbout 2009 and The Evesham River Festival, so hope to see some more budding amateur and pro photographers there!
The Beginning
Wow. My own web page. Kind of scary to me putting something like this on the internet seeing as I have never really thought of myself as a 'good' photographer. There are times when I do take a certain picture that I am particularly proud of and want to show off, but then there are those times when I go into self doubt mode. I guess your self will always be your biggest critique. agree ? good! I had two of my photos printed in the local newspaper recently, the Worcester News, both of them I felt truly proud to put my name to. It was a true surprise to see the first, just flicking through the newspaper and there it was, on a page with others, but still in print none the less. The second was spotted by my nan who called me to say it was in there, on a page with letters, but no others photos this time, I felt I had been given somewhat of a promotion! I feel extremely proud looking back at where I came from, from not knowing much other than how to point and shoot, to now being able to make the most of all the settings my camera has to offer and also being able to manipulate these images in the digital darkroom (photoshop if you want!). Heres to the future!
